For my beat, I wanted to do something related to sports, especially baseball since it is my favorite sport. I already write about the Atlanta Braves from time to time on my blog, so I thought about choosing to cover them. Sadly, however, I do not have any contacts in the organization besides the team photographers who I’ve already done a story on. Instead, I will cover the Rome Braves, the organization’s High-A affiliate team.

I already have a few ideas for covering the team. The first that came to mind would be to talk about their catcher in 2022, Tyler Tolve. He was drafted in 2021 after playing three seasons at Kennesaw State University. I think this could be very interesting depending on the angle I take with it (depending on the assignment). Other ideas include covering some of the Braves’ top prospects and how they perform, big games including walk-off wins, and any other newsworthy events that can occur during the course of a season.
